Guide to Edinburgh Newhaven

Old Chain Pier Newhaven

About Edinburgh Newhaven

Newhaven is a district in the City of Edinburgh, Scotland, between Leith and Granton and about 2 miles (3.2 km) north of the city centre. Formerly a village and harbour on the Firth of Forth. A lighthouse built at the harbour entrance in 1869 is a local landmark. The harbour has now been dwarfed by the enlarged Leith Harbour. The once thriving Victorian fishmarket is now converted into a smaller still functioning fishmarket, and the Loch Fyne restaurant. (Improve this description or add photos)
