For three days the grounds of the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh undergo a transformation in an explosion of scent and colour. This is Gardening Scotland – the national gardening and outdoor living Show and Scotland’s gardening festival!
It is the biggest plant fair in Scotland, promising to provide everything from an abundance of beautiful plants to tools, equipment, garden furniture and all the inspiration you could need to make your garden grow.
In nurseries across the UK, leading growers are already tending to the plants that they will bring to next year’s Show to provide gardeners with inspiration, information and top quality plants.
Gardening Scotland will be returning from 2nd – 4th June 2017 with new and exciting elements for everyone to enjoy.
The oldest re-enactment society, the Sealed Knot, is coming back to Thirlestane Castle The oldest re-enactment society, the Sealed Knot. They will be delving into what it was like in the 17th Century for both the military and ordinary people. Soldiers, muskets, pikes and drums in drill displays, life on the living history camp and a skirmish will be all part of the weekend. An education and an experience not to be missed.
Entry includes admission to the castle.
