GWCT Scottish Game Fair returns to Perthshire this July

The GWCT Scottish Game Fair, which is organised by the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT), in association with NFU Mutual, is returning to stunning Scone Parklands in Perthshire over the weekend of July 5-7.

With all proceeds going to fund GWCT’s charitable work in Scotland, the 2019 event will once again feature an impressive line-up of retailers and exhibitors, competitions and a revamped main ring programme. Plus, there will be a plethora of country sports activities, expert coaching, demonstrations and competitions to appeal to all ages and abilities from fishing and clays to gundogs and hill ponies.

The always popular Cookery Theatre and food hall returns alongside competitions such as the new Junior Macnab Challenge which launched with enormous popularity in 2018, giving youngsters a chance to try their hand at country sports skills, completely free of charge.

Galloway Fairs @ Scone Palace,
Nov 8 @ 11:58 am – Nov 10 @ 12:58 pm

Scone Palace, Perth, Scotland

Scone Palace is the ancestral home of The Earl and Countess of Mansfield and is built on the site of the former Bishop’s Palace. 1500 years ago it was the capital of the Pictish kingdom and the centre of the ancient Celtic Church. In 838 A.D Kenneth MacAlpine united Scotland by placing The Stone Of Scone upon Moot Hill which became the crowning place of kings, including Macbeth, Robert The Bruce and Charles II. The present palace was rebuilt following a fire in 1559. The palace houses a fabulous collection of French furniture, clocks, 16th century needlework, ivories and one of the finest collections of porcelain in the country. The antiques fair will be held in the State Dining Room, Drawing Room, Library, Long gallery and Annex rooms.

Quality Antiques and Fine Art Fairs

Galloway Antiques Fairs have been organising quality antiques and fine art fairs for 24 years. We pride ourselves in our choice of venues, some of the finest stately homes in the country. From Scone Palace in Perth as far South as Cowdray House in West Sussex.  We have a great bunch of nationally known dealers exhibiting  a wide range of items to include town and country furniture, silver, jewellery, paintings, sculpture, glass, porcelain, antiquarian  books and prints, angling antiques, oriental rugs, mirrors, clocks, lighting and many decorative items for your home. Our fairs have a dateline restriction of 1970 with the exception of fine art and sculpture where no dateline applies.   All items are vetted for quality and ‘reproductions’ are strictly forbidden.

We hope that you enjoy browsing through our website and look forward to seeing you in person at some of our events throughout the year when you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome
